Raiding

I think we need to discuss raiding in the guild. I have posted this here to keep our thoughts within our profession. I think Aerrowyn and Raccio are the two best hunters in the guild and rightly so, they have earned their abilities and respect. They have also become well geared out and I for one would like a chance for some leet gear that drops in instances that you guys seem to have run to the end. Would it be possible to get into a rotation so I have a shot at the good stuff from High King (shoulders), Gruul (boots) , Curator (legs ?) and a few other goodies (bows or crossbows). I know it is nice to raid and all but this seems over kill to never get a shot at any stuff anymore. How about it?

T4 Shoulders? Take em. T4 Gloves? Take em. T4 Helm? Sunfury? Take it.

All i need from kara is Legacy and Belt of the Prowler.
All I need from gruul is dragonspine (although I doubt i'll get it before many of the rogues do. You want my spot in gruul's and mags lair from now on, prove you can do it, prove you can dps, and you can have all my raid spots cept for the 2 kara items mentioned, and SSC of course.

Both Raccio and I are almost always in the top 5.. Those are some big shoes to fill Zogo. For most of these encounters we need all the dps we can get, and most of the time it means making people who need gear sit for those top end dpsers.

You make some good points Aerrowyn. Having good DPS does make a raid go smoother and more quickly. I submit to you this idea for your consideration, many professional sports teams have a first team and have a second team. Wise teams use substitutes from time to time to give the starter a rest and to develop the 2nd teamers. As an admitted 2nd teamer, I would like to get off the bench every so often so I can get better gear and up my DPS. It is shear folly to think I can come in and do damage equal to what you can when you consider all the leet armor and weapons you have. With some playing time I too can develop. So I am willing to trade in and out of the line up from time to time, especially in cases where you have no gear needs.
